Two motorcycle-borne assailants shot and seriously injured an iron trader while snatching Rs eight lakh which he had withdrawn from a bank on Monday evening.
Rahul Jain and his brother Rohit withdrew Rs eight lakh from a bank at Ambedkarnagar at 4.30 PM and were on their way to their house in Nehru Nagar on a motorcycle when the assailants rammed their bike into their vehicle and snatched the money, SP city JK Shahi said.
When Rohit tried to resist, the attackers fired at him and escaped. He was rushed to Yashoda hospital in a critical condition.
