Ghaziabad: Five-year-old Adnan was found dead in a Honda City car near Loni area of Ghaziabad on Thursday evening. While the child was locked inside for two hours in this scorching heat, his parents went partying, oblivious of the fact that the child was inside the car.
The boy was sleeping in the back seat of his parent's car by the time they reached the venue of the party. His parents forgot about him and went inside, along with other guests. It was only much later that they remembered Adnan. They looked for him at the party but couldn't find him there.
After searching for nearly two hours, Adnan's parents realised that he had been left inside the car. It was then that they rushed out and searched inside their car and found him dead.
The boy was immediately rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital in Ghaziabad where he was declared dead.
Doctors said the cause of death was suffocation. "The case was registered under appropriate sections and statements also were taken by the family members. Further investigation is in process," a police official said.
