Postal official gets eight years jail for embezzling money

Ghaziabad: A former assistant post master was sentenced to eight years in jail by a CBI court for embezzling Rs 5.77 lakh belonging to account holders in 2007.

Special Judge M S Wadhwa also slapped a fine of Rs four lakh on Ved Prakash Panday, who was posted at B M Khan post office in Agra at that time.

The CBI had filed a charge sheet against him in December 2008.
