Ghaziabad/Greater Noida:
A 20-year-old girl, who was allegedly abducted today in broad daylight in the Delhi suburb of Greater Noida, has been found.
The girl, a first-year college student, was found near Hindon River in Ghaziabad. She has told the police that her scooter was hit from behind by a car while she was on her way to her coaching classes during the day. Four persons, she claims, then got out of the car and made her sniff a substance that resulted in her turning unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she found herself lying near the river. The girl has said that she then headed to the Ghaziabad police station who, in turn, informed the Greater Noida police.
Eyewitnesses, though, earlier said that there was only person inside the car when the incident occurred at around 11 am today. Cops too had said that the girl usually carried her mobile phone and also had a friend accompanying her to the coaching centre. Curiously, today, she neither took her phone along nor had her friend with her.
The girl has now been sent for medical examination. A case of kidnapping has been registered against unknown person.
