Panaji: Three domestic tourists were rescued by lifeguards at Calangute beach in Panaji after they were pulled into the sea due to choppy waters.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at Calangute beach, wherein three tourists from Karnataka identified as Gangadhar, Puttaraj and Ashok were pulled out of strong current by a team of lifeguards.
"It was a daring rescue operation by a team of lifeguards. All three were brought to safety and they were given medical treatment immediately," the lifeguard spokesman said.
All the three tourists were swimming in the danger zone despite being warned, he added.
