Panaji: A 52-year-old man allegedly stabbed his two daughters, one of them fatally, for talking to a boy in the neighbourhood of their house in Panaji, police said on Wednesday.
As per the police complaint, Shankar was enraged after finding his daughters aged, 20 and 17 years, talking to the boy and stabbed both the girls on Tuesday night.
While Sujata died on the spot, the younger daughter was admitted to a hospital where she was said to be in a critical state, police said.
The father, Shankar Reddy (52) surrendered before the police on his own following which he was arrested on Wednesday by Valpoi Police in Honda village of Sattari Taluka.
