Gurgaon:
A five-year-old girl was brutally raped and then abandoned near a metro station in Gurgaon on Saturday, the police have said. The minor has suffered severe internal injuries and is being treated at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital.
According to the police, the girl was allegedly lured away by a man who offered to give her food during a langar (community lunch) near the Bristol Hotel in Gurgaon. He later raped her.
The minor's 12-year-old cousin, who was accompanying her, has said the accused was in his 40s. The police have prepared a sketch of the man based on the description given by the minor's brother. A hunt is on to nab him.
The girl reportedly went missing at 12.30 pm on Saturday. She was found in unconscious state near a metro pillar at 2 pm.
"My daughter was found near the Sikandarpur metro station. She was unconscious. She had blood and mud all over her. She was in a terrible state," said the minor's father.
