Gurgaon: A 21-year-old Estonian model has been arrested for allegedly creating ruckus and assaulting an elderly woman outside a mall located in Gurgaon's upscale Golf Course Road, the police said on Monday.
The model, Sovolev Vladislav, who speaks broken English, misbehaved with the passersby and pelted stones at the vehicle parks outside DT Mega Mall on Sunday, they said.
According to eyewitnesses, Sovolev created a ruckus for over half an hour and slapped an elderly lady, twisted her arms and abused her. Passersby then informed the police.
The accused went to a resto-bar in the mall and hurled abuses at a passersby on his way to his guest house, Gurgaon police PRO Subhash Bokan said.
"During investigation, found that the accused was involved in misbehaving with a women and a passersby in a drunken state. The accused was arrested on the charge of disturbing peace," ACP (DLF) Shamsher Singh said.
Traces of alcohol were found in Sovolev's blood during a medical examination, he added.
Mr Vladislav had come to India on work visa for a modelling assignment.
The accused was produced before a city magistrate and granted bail, the police said.
