Gurgaon: Even though the consumption of Hookah has been banned in Haryana for a year, around 20 college students, aged between 18 and 20, were today found being served the waterpipe at a cafe in Gurgaon.
A joint team of drug control officers and the Gurgaon Police raided Kasba Cafe - operated out of a basement in old DLF area of the Delhi suburb - this afternoon and arrested the manager.
A case has been registered under the drug act and cigarette and other tobacco products act. An application for a FIR against the owner, a man named Rahul Roy, has been filed. He is on the run.
The students, meanwhile, were warned and allowed to go home.
