Police have been deployed at selective sections of the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway.
Gurgaon:
Service lanes at Hero Honda Chowk on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway waterlogged again today after heavy rains, an official said.
The main lanes of the expressway were not blocked but the service lanes were waterlogged up to three feet on both sides between Narsinghpur and Khandsa, the official said.
The traffic was not blocked but was moving slowly due to heavy volume of vehicles, he said.
Though there was a sheet of water on the main lanes too, no traffic jam situation was reported till late evening on the busy National Highway 8.
Police have been deployed at selective sections of the expressway to ensure smooth movement of traffic.
Authorities have also installed pumps at crucial points to pump out stagnated water, but they were small to tackle the over two hours of downpour.
On July 28, hundreds of commuters on the Delhi-Jaipur highway remained stuck for close to 20 hours in a monstrous traffic jam after heavy rains left the Hero Honda Chowk totally inundated.
Many commuters left their vehicles -- cars and two-wheelers --behind on the inundated roads and streets and trudged their way home.
