Gurgaon:
A doctor and his three-year-old daughter were run over by a Haryana Roadways bus while they were waiting for a school bus near Subhash Chowk at Sohna road on Monday morning, police said.
Dr Pankaj Gupta, a cardiologist serving at super speciality hospital Medanta Medcity in Gurgaon, and his daughter were waiting for the school bus at the bus stop, opposite Sadar Police station near Subhash Chowk, when the roadways bus ran over them.
According to police, while Dr Gupta died on the spot his daughter succumbed to her injuries during treatment at a hospital.
The driver has been arrested, according to the police. Before running over them, the driver had also hit an electric pole but luckily, passengers sitting in the bus did not received any major injuries, they said.
