Gurgaon: Gurgaon police today busted a casino here and arrested 43 people, including five women.
The casino was being run in a house here in DLF Phase 2 area in Gurgaon.
Narendra Malhotra, the man running the gambling den, told police that he was involved in the illegal business for the past several months.
"Five women, experts at playing cards, were brought to India from Kathmandu in Nepal," Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Deepak Saharan told media persons.
The officer said the raid was conducted early today.
A large quantity of foreign-made liquor and cash amounting to Rs 20 lakh were also recovered from the house.
He had appointed 15 other employees, including 10 bouncers.
This is the first time such a high-profile gambling ring has been busted here.
