In Gurgaon Near Delhi, Firing Again in Broad Daylight

The police indicated the car should pull over because it had allegedly been tipped off that the men within were wanted criminals.

Gurgaon: A shootout between the police and a criminal gang in Gurgaon near Delhi today resulted in the arrests of the criminals, one of whom has minor injuries.

The four men were traveling in a Santro in Sector 10, a residential part of Gurgaon, just across the Haryana border.

The police indicated the car should pull over because it had allegedly been tipped off that the men within were wanted criminals. The driver reportedly shot at the police. In self defense, an officer shot back...two bullets were fired in all," said Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police,  to NDTV.

In July, gunmen had shot at  an SUV near a major mall in Gurgaon, causing the car to topple over onto an auto-rickshaw. The driver of the auto-rickshaw was killed.

The police had alleged that the shooting was the result of a gang-war.
