Gurgaon:
A 15-year-old boy trying to pull off a very dangerous stunt was run over by a train in Gurgaon this evening.
Neil Chuttani, who was studying in Class 10 of Bluebells School, had gone to the Delhi-Jaipur railway track along with five of his friends in sector 9 of Gurgaon today.
There, the six boys sat on the track, clicking each other's pictures with their cell phone cameras. According to the police, they were all waiting for a train to come close to them and had planned to jump out of the way just in the nick of time. Five boys jumped successfully, but Neil wasn't so lucky. He was run over by the train and died on the spot, the police say.
Immediately after the incident, Neil's friends informed his parents, who reached the spot. Neil father, an engineer in the CPWD, says Neil had called him just a few hours ago saying he scored good marks in an exam and was going to celebrate with his friends.
Neil's family says that there is a railway crossing close to the accident site, and the security personnel posted there did not ask the boys to leave or call the police.
The police, meanwhile, is yet to record the statements of Neil's friends who are still in post-accident trauma.
