A man has filed a complaint against his wife for allegedly thrashing their 10-year-old son after he did not wake up in the morning and attacking him when he intervened to protect the boy, Gurugram police said on Tuesday.
According to the complaint filed by a Mianwali Colony resident, he got married in 2011 and has a 10-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter.
"On Sunday morning my wife asked my son to wake up and when he did not, she got angry and started beating him. When I intervened to save my son, she bit my cheeks and other body parts," the husband said.
"She also threatened to kill me and my son. That's when I moved to the police", he added that his wife can do anything with the boy.
An FIR has been registered against the woman under sections 323 (causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sector 14 police station, police said.
Police are verifying the facts and action will be taken as per the law, they added.
