Gurgaon: A young woman from Meghalaya died after being stabbed multiple at a prominent metro station in Gurgaon near Delhi during rush hour in this morning.
Pinki, 22, was stabbed eight to 10 times by a young man identified by the police as Jitendra. The attacker was caught by people and handed over to the police.
The police suspect that the man knew Pinki, who was married, and followed her. They both are residents of Gurgaon's Sector 18.
Jitendra struck when Pinki had just entered the station and no Central Industrial Security Force men - who are in charge of security - were present.
"The incident happened in a part of the station where there is no CISF presence," an official said.
