Hyderabad:
A city-based auto rickshaw driver was arrested for trying to smuggle in two kg gold, worth Rs 53 lakh, at the international airport in Hyderabad, customs officials said today.
Syed Yousuf, who arrived last night on a Dubai flight, had concealed the gold bars in his underwear.
"During the scanning it was found that he was carrying gold in his underwear," a customs official said, adding he was arrested and produced before a court in Hyderabad today which remanded him in 15-day judicial custody.
