Two cousin sisters allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a lake in Neredmet area in Hyderabad on Friday, police said.
The bodies of Mounika N and Sowmya Rajeswari, aged between 19 and 22, were found in RK Puram lake at 5.30 pm, Neredmet Police Station Sub-Inspector Kishan said.
"In the suicide notes found near the spot, purportedly written by them, Mounika said she was ending her life over her love failure, whereas Sowmya said that she was killing herself owing to health problems," the officer said.
They were natives of West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.
A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is on.
