Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police today said they may shortly interrogate alleged Lashkar-e-Toiba bomb expert Abdul Karim Tunda, in connection with blasts in the city in February this year.
"He (Tunda) is involved in blast cases here (in the past). The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of city police is collecting more details on his involvement and the role played by him in such cases. Once after collecting details...if need be, we will bring him here on Prisoner on Transit (PT) warrant for further investigation," Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma told reporters.
One of India's most wanted terrorist, Syed Abdul Karim alias Tunda, accused of masterminding over 40 bombings in the country, was arrested by Delhi Police from the Indo-Nepal border on Saturday last after he was apparently deported from one of the Gulf countries.
70-year-old Tunda is a well-known LeT explosive expert wanted for his role in 1993 Mumbai serial train blasts, Delhi bomb blasts of 1997-98 and serial bombings in the state of UP and also at Panipat, Sonepat, Ludhiana and Hyderabad.
