Hyderabad:
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today trapped a Circle Inspector of Police for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
S Sharfuddin was caught at Circle Office in Uravakonda town accepting the bribe amount from a man for settling a civil dispute involving the latter, an ACB release said here.
The man had earlier lodged a complaint with the ACB which laid a trap and caught Sharfuddin.
The Circle Inspector has been arrested and will be produced before the ACB Court here for remand, it added.
