Hyderabad:
A young techie committed suicide by inhaling nitrogen as he was reportedly depressed that a mobile app developed by him had failed, police said on Wednesday.
Lucky Gupa Agarwal, 33, bought a small nitrogen cylinder and inhaled the gas by using a mask at his apartment.
A police officer said he had searched the Internet for ways of ending his life.
"I am committing suicide... I wish everyone peace and happiness," he wrote in a suicide note found in his room.
Lucky, a bachelor, had quit his job with a software firm a few months ago and was developing mobile applications on his own.
Police quoted his family members as saying that he used to mostly stay in his room, working late into the night.
When Lucky did not come out of his room till Wednesday evening, his parents grew suspicious. The door was locked from inside. They broke it open and found him lying dead on his bed with a mask on his face.
Police said he bought the nitrogen cylinder on Sunday. Lucky's father Ashik Kumar Agarwal, a businessman, said they thought it was part of his project.
