A 16-year-old student of an engineering college in Hyderabad was allegedly sexually assaulted by at least three of her classmates two weeks ago, the police said today.
On November 2, the girl was taken to a hukkah centre by the three students and forced to drink alcohol and smoke hukkah, a senior police officer said.
The girl was later taken to an isolated spot and raped, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Malkajgiri Division) G Sundeep told news agency Press Trust of India.
The girl, after the incident, went to her native village and narrated the incident to her father.
The police filed a case of rape and kidnapping after the girl's father approached them, and arrested the three students along with the owner of the hukkah joint.
The girl, meanwhile, has been sent for medical examination.
