Hyderabad: A registered medical practitioner (RMP) was today arrested for allegedly outraging the modesty of a woman patient in Malkajgiri area here, police said.
Sadiq (40), the accused, runs a clinic at Patel Nagar and the woman had visited him alongwith her husband for stomach pain yesterday, police said.
"While the husband was outside, Sadiq, on the pretext of check-up, took her to another room and allegedly touched her inappropriately," said inspector Janaki Reddy of Malkajgiri police station.
The woman's husband lodged a complaint under section 354 of IPC (outraging woman's modesty). Sadiq was arrested today, the inspector added.
