Hyderabad:
In a wrenching visual from a top hospital in Hyderabad, a baby is shifted without a stretcher, carried in the arms of a relative. An IV drip and an oxygen cylinder is rolled alongside.
The video has emerged from the government-run Niloufer Hospital, which is among the premier hospitals of Hyderabad.
The baby was apparently being shifted from the new to the old building of the hospital.
Activists say this points to lack of stretchers even within the hospital.
This comes days after a man used a toy scooter inside the city's Gandhi hospital to demonstrate that there were no wheelchairs available for patients. S Raju, who was admitted after he was electrocuted months ago, alleged that hospital staff were demanding bribe for a wheelchair. He was given one after media reports.
