Hyderabad: The police today seized Rs 37 lakh in the new Rs 2,000 currency notes from two persons in Hyderabad.
Two men, riding bikes, were intercepted this afternoon and Rs 37 lakh, all in Rs 2,000 notes, were seized from them at Katedan in Hyderabad, a police official said.
The matter was handed over to the Income Tax Department officials for further probe, he added.
