Haflong:
One person was killed in a powerful bomb blast at Donganraji in central Assam's Dima Hasao district.
The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off at 1 am in the Umrangso market area.
Police recovered body parts of an unidentified man from the spot. They suspect the dead man to be a militant, who had come to plant the bomb but the IED got triggered earlier. Investigations are on.
One person was killed and seven injured after a blast took place in Sibsagar in Assam yesterday.
The incident occurred at around 9:15 pm in the Central Market area. The bomb, which police suspect was triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), was reportedly placed on a bicycle.
