Kolkata: The death toll from dengue fever in West Bengal stands at 10, an official said today.
According to reports, a woman died due to the vector-borne disease on Monday.
"We are ascertaining whether it was due to dengue. There have been numerous cases where non-dengue deaths have been mis-reported. So we can't say without confirming," health service director BR Satpathi said.
He said over 6,000 dengue infections have been reported across the state this year but the number was receding.
