Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's closest aide Honeypreet Insan has been arrested after weeks of a cat-and-mouse game that the Haryana police seemed to be losing until today. The 36-year-old was seen speaking to the media and appeared on various TV channels before she was arrested on the highway near Chandigarh.

Honeypreet Insan was Ram Rahim's constant companion and called herself "Papa's Angel" on social media.
Born Priyanka Taneja, Honeypreet gained prominence when she was seen with the 50-year-old Ram Rahim after he was held guilty of raping two followers. She stayed with him when he was flown to a jail in Rohtak in a special government chopper.
In her online profiles, she calls herself a "philanthropist, director, editor and actress".

Honeypreet has acted in and directed films starring Ram Rahim, mainly the "MSG - messenger of God" series. She claimed to have broken action star Jackie Stan's record by performing more than 21 roles in a film.
