Baharampur, West Bengal: As many as 11 infants have died at Jangipur Hospital in West Bengals' Murshidabad district on Thursday and Friday, a top health official said.
Malnutrition, problems in breathing were stated to be factors behind the deaths, the official said.
A high-level health team comprising doctors and administrative officials will be visiting the hospital on Saturday.
Local MP Abhijit Mukherjee said he had asked the administration to take up the issue with the highest level of West Bengal government and tone up health facilities at the hospital.
