New Delhi: Altogether 114 cases were registered in various parts of the country for attacks on journalists in 2014, Lok Sabha was informed today.
"As per available data, a total of 114 cases were registered and 32 persons were arrested under attack on media persons (grievous hurt) during 2014," Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir said replying to a written question.
Of these attacks on journalists, 63 incidents took place in Uttar Pradesh, 22 incidents in Bihar, seven in Madhya Pradesh, five in Maharashtra besides others, he said.
