Srinagar: 12 Central Reserve Police Force or CRPF jawans were injured when terrorists threw a grenade at Nowhatta in downtown Srinagar this evening.
Police say the grenade explosion too place when the CRPF men were withdrawing from law and order duty.
"Jawans were deployed on law and order duty in the area. 12 jawans suffered injuries but these are very minor injuries," said a senior police officer.
Soon after the incident police rushed to the spot, but the attacker had managed to escape.
