Mathura: A 14-year-old girl allegedly set herself on fire in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district after she was gang-raped by five men of her village.
The teen, who sustained 70 per cent burn injuries, is being treated at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital.
The girl was allegedly gang-raped on Sunday evening when she stepped out of her house in Kosi Kalan area to use the toilet. Her family allegedly tried to hide the incident. On Tuesday, the girl allegedly poured kerosene and set herself on fire at her home.
"When I woke up, I saw her in flames... I poured water on her to put out the flames," said the teen's brother.
"We heard her screaming for help," said a neighbour.
