Murshidabad:
A juvenile board officer was arrested for allegedly molesting a 14 year old girl in Murshidabad district in West Bengal. The accused was one of the officers investigating a rape case where the teen was a victim.
According to police, Malay Shankar Aich, aged about 50 years, took over the investigation and often visited the girl at her house. The teen was allegedly raped by a 17-year-old boy last July. The family of the girl alleged that Mr Aich would order her parents out and then harass the minor.
He also allegedly called the girl to his office several times and molested her.
The girl revealed her plight to her parents who later filed a police complaint. The juvenile board officer was arrested on Sunday.
