Jind: A 15-year-old girl was today allegedly raped by three persons in a village under Sadar police station area in Jind, police said.
The incident occurred when the victim, a student of Class IX, was waiting after school for a vehicle to go home which is in the neighbouring village, they said.
Three persons from her village offered her a lift back to the village. They, however, took to her to a secluded spot and gangraped her and when she resisted, they made a casteist slur, police added.
They then dumped her at a nearby spot and fled from the scene. On reaching home, the girl informed her parents following which a complaint was lodged with the police, they said.
Women's police station in-charge Santosh Devi said a medical examination of the victim is being conducted and efforts are underway to nab the accused.
