As the girl began to bleed after the alleged assault, the accused took her to the hospital.
A 17-year-old student in Rajasthan has accused a young man of allegedly raping her yesterday, the police said. She also alleged that he forced her to consume alcohol before the assault. A resident of Sikar's Gokulpura village, about 110 km from Jaipur, the girl is an undergraduate student and the accused is her neighbour.
The girl had reportedly left for college, but instead she went with the accused. He took her to a place near Bikaner bypass and allegedly forced himself on her. When the girl began to bleed, he panicked and rushed her to the hospital.
The doctors treating her immediately informed her family and the police. The man, a driver, was allegedly beaten up by the girl's family at the hospital.
He has been arrested, a police officer said.
Inspector Rajendra Singh added, "We have registered a case against the man and investigations are on. We are yet to ascertain the exact location of the crime."
Last month, two teachers were arrested for
allegedly raping a Class 12 student at a private school in Sikar. It is alleged that the school's director and teacher raped her on the pretext of extra classes. When she got pregnant, they reportedly persuaded her family to take her for an abortion. She suffered
brain damage after a botched abortion.
