A man from Uttar Pradesh has been arrested after his 18-year-old daughter recorded a video of him sexually assaulting her, the police have said.
The girl, a college student from Jalaun district, reportedly told the police that she was forced to take help of a friend in recording the assault because her family refused to believe that her father had been abusing her for four years.
"For four years, my father sexually abused me. I told my family but they did not believe me because I had no proof. So I thought of getting a proof to bring out the truth," the girl has been quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
Then man, who was arrested on Friday, has confessed to the crime.
"She secretly installed a camera and made a video of her father raping her. We arrested him after registering a First Information Report or FIR," said Station House Officer Alok Saxena.
