2 arrested in Anil Ambani's chopper sabotage case
Mumbai: Two people have been arrested in the Anil Ambani chopper sabotage case. Uday Warekar and Palraj Thevar are both employees of Airworks, company that was responsible for the maintainance of Ambani's aircraft. They have been remanded to police custody till May 15.

They were with Bharat Borge when he discovered pebbles in the fuel tank of Anil Ambani's chopper. Borge was found dead under mysterious circumstances last week.

The police said it's a case of suicide but Borge's family alleged foul play. Later, addressing a press conference, the Mumbaipolice said that sabotage was the result of rivalry between union and the managementof Airworks.

The Mumbai police, investigating the mysterious death of Bharat Borge -- a key witness in the Anil Ambani chopper sabotage case -- had ruled out the involvement of Ambani's staff.

In a letter to the police, Borge had said that Reliance officials came to meet him a day after he reported the sabotage attempt.

After questioning the officials, the police gave them a clean chit.

On Wednesday, the railway police recorded statements of two Reliance ADAG staffers - former DGP K K Kashyap and former ACP Sailesh Kale.

When asked about his meeting with Borge, K K Kashyap, Senior Security Officer, Reliance ADAG told NDTV, "I went to inspect my aircraft on the 27th of April. I was introduced to Borge by the Airworks staff. Borge informed us that he was in a hurry as he had been summoned by the Crime Branch that evening."

The railway police will question three more people who met Borge with them. The questions they are asking could lead to answer another question: Did Borge commit suicide? Was it an accident or something more?

Police sources say, testimonies collected so far point to suicide as the cause of death.Their basis: Eyewitness accounts, like the statement of the motorman S Pillai, who's train hit Borge.

Pillai says: "I blew the horn but Borge did not move off the track. Instead he bent over. He had the time to jump off the track but he did not do so."

Also, that so far they have found little evidence of abetment of suicide.

But the police say they will reach a final conclusion only after they examine Borge's phone records.
