New Delhi:
In a shocking incident, a section of the road on the controversial BRT corridor in south Delhi caved in early Sunday morning, trapping a motorcycle and injuring the two persons riding it.
The incident took place close to the Moolchand flyover at around 1.30 am creating an eight-feet long crater on the road and sucking in a motorcycle that was passing over it.
Two persons were injured in the mishap and taken to the AIIMS trauma centre, a senior police official said.
An official of a contracting firm executing the project, who was present on the spot, said his team was examining what led to the sudden collapse of the road.
The road was cordoned off and the huge pothole was being initially filled with water and sand.
