2 Killed in Cloudburst in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam

Two persons have died and two others of their family are missing after a cloudburst in Pahalgam in south Kashmir's Anantnag district this afternoon.

"Two boys have been killed, while two others are missing after a cloudburst in the Arru village of Pahalgam," a police officer said.

The boys had gone for an outing when the incident happened, the officer added.

Pahalgam has been receiving intermittent rainfall since yesterday.

The Jammu-Srinagar highway has been closed and the Amarnath Yatra has been suspended for today due to inclement weather.  

There has been incessant rain in parts of North India over the last two days.
