2006 Malegaon blasts: Bail plea of nine accused rejected

Mumbai: The bail plea of the nine accused in the 2006 Malegaon blasts case was rejected today by a special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court in Mumbai.

The CBI sources say they opposed the bail plea because they haven't investigated it enough to decide whether these men are falsely implicated.  Also another factor is that this case is going to National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The nine accused moved court after Swami Aseemanand's confession.

The arrested Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader had reportedly confessed that he and other right-wing activists were involved in the bombings.
