New Delhi: Railways today cancelled about 210 more trains due to the Jat agitation including Kalka Shatabdi, Ludhiana Shatabdi and Himalayan Queen.
A total of 1152 trains have been cancelled or short-terminated due to the ongoing agitation in Haryana.
A senior Railway official said trains like Sarai Rohilla-Bikaner and Katra-Delhi also remained cancelled today.
He said the Delhi-Paniapt-Ambala and Delhi-Rohtak-Bhatinda routes are still closed for traffic affecting train movement in the section.
The important rail routes to the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Jammu and Kashmir have been affected because of the stir.
The agitating protesters also have caused large scale damages to railway property and installations as 12 railway stations were burnt, 3 engines damaged and two track machines wrecked besides uprooting of tracks at many places.
Railway has pressed special trains into service from Chandigarh and Jammu to clear stranded passengers.
Meanwhile, North Western Railway today restored its operation on Jaipur-Alwar-Rewari-Delhi track connecting Jaipur and Delhi, its CPRO Tarun Jain said in Jaipur.
