India Covid-19 Cases: India has the second-highest coronavirus caseload in the world.

India recorded 26,115 fresh Covid cases, 13.6% lower than yesterday's figures. The new infections took the country's total caseload to over 22.9 crore. 252 deaths in the last 24 hours pushed the death count to 4,45,385.

Maharashtra, which has the highest number of coronavirus cases in India, recorded 2,583 new infections.
15,692 people tested positive for the virus on Monday in Kerala, which has the highest single-day rise of cases in the country. The fresh cases pushed the tally of infections to over 45.24 lakh and 92 deaths took the death count to 23,683.
Neighbouring Karnataka, which has imposed strict restrictions on people entering from Kerala, logged 677 fresh infections and 24 fatalities.
Delhi reported 20 Covid cases and zero deaths on Monday, while the positivity rate stood at 0.04 per cent.
Mizoram leads the northeastern states in the highest number of new cases in a day with 1,731 new cases. The state reported two Covid deaths in the last 24 hours.
Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh - the four big states - were among those who reported zero Covid deaths. Uttarakhand and Jharkhand also reported zero Covid deaths.
India's active cases stand at 3,09,575, which is the lowest in 184 days.
The government on Monday said India will resume the export and donations of excess vaccines next month. India, the world's biggest maker of vaccines overall, had stopped vaccine exports in April to focus on inoculating its own population.
The daily positivity rate is 1.85% and the weekly positivity rate is 2.08%.
Over 96.46 lakh vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
