New Delhi:
Suresh Kalmadi, the former Chairman of the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (OC) has received a shot in the arm with senior counsel Uday Lalit joining his defence team to argue for his bail.
Lalit is also the special prosecutor appointed by the Supreme Court in the 2G spectrum scam case in which the CBI has made several arrests.
Kalmadi, who was arrested and charged with fraud and conspiracy by the CBI in procuring timer and score boards for the Games, is currently in Tihar Jail.
