Srinagar: Four Central Reserve Police Force personnel have been injured in a terror attack at their camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.
The terrorists used heavy firing and threw grenades at the camp located in Litter village in this south Kashmir district. The CRPF personnel retaliated but the attackers managed to escape.
Firing was also reported at an Army camp at Bonera in the district, which is about 40 kilometres from state capital Srinagar.
Sources say the Army opened fire after they observed some suspicious movement. No damage was reported at the camp.
There was another firing incident reported from Karimabad in the district. However, there is no clarity on who opened fire.
Earlier in the day, terrorists also opened fire at Pakherpora in Budgam district. One police officer and a civilian were injured in the attack.
These incidents come on a day when Home Minister Rajnath Singh visited the state and chaired a high-level meeting with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Governor NN Vohra to review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Last week, eight CRPF jawans were killed and 22 others were injured after two terrorists ambushed a convoy in Pampore town in the district, the highest single-incident casualty in three years in Jammu and Kashmir.
