Imphal:
There have been three blasts in Imphal on the eve of the Republic Day on Monday. While twin blasts were reported in Imphal West, the third took place at Nambol in Bishenpur district.
Two police commandos were injured in the twin blasts which were reported near Manipur Mountaineer Training Association in Imphal West district of the state, where militants have called for a boycott of Republic Day celebrations.
Official sources said it is suspected that the bombs were exploded by cadres of the Manipur People's Liberation Front, which has called for a strike from 1 am to 5.30 pm on Tuesday.
The injured commandos were rushed to the Regional Instituted of Medical Science and Hospital.
