Bankura, West Bengal: Three elephants were killed after a passenger train ran over them near Bishnupur of West Bengal's Bankura district on Friday night.
The elephants were crossing the tracks when the train hit them.
Two female adult elephants and a calf were killed in the accident.
Train movement in area has been affected. Purulia Express and a few other passengers trains are stranded on the route, officials said.
