A small trainer aircraft crashed in a field in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, today injuring three people onboard, officials said.
The pilot, a co-pilot and another passenger onboard the plane have been shifted to a hospital and are undergoing treatment, Bhopal police official Arun Sharma said.
The aircraft crashed in Gandhi Nagar Police Station limits of the city, he added. The aircraft was being used for conducting a survey, officials said.
"The small-body aircraft was flying towards Guna from Bhopal when it crashed in an agricultural field near Badwai village in afternoon," Mr Sharma told news agency PTI.
He said all the three persons on board received minor injuries, and none of them was hospitalised.
Raja Bhoj Airport Director Anil Vikram said the pilot, a co-pilot and another person, who was working for a private company engaged in conducting a survey, were on board at the time of the incident. He said the aircraft crashed due to some technical snag.
