Srinagar: At least three terrorists have been gunned down in an encounter that began on Monday morning in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama. Three soldiers including an officer were also injured in the ambush, police said.
The gunbattle began on Monday morning after the security forces launched a search operation following a specific tip-off about the presence of terrorists in Bahmnoo area of Pulwama, police said.
Two terrorist were killed yesterday and the body of third terrorist was found this morning, an official said.
Monday's offensive in Pulwama came barely 10 hours after civilian protesters helped a group of terrorists to escape a cordon in Malangpora village in the same district.
