Jamui: Thirty liquor bottles were seized from a passenger train at Jhajha railway station in Bihar, in a joint operation by Excise department and GRP on Friday.
Excise Superintendent Prahlad Prasad Bhushan said during search in 8183 UP Tata-Danapur Express the team of excise officials and GRP seized a bag containing 30 bottles of whiskey from a general compartment.
No passenger claimed ownership of the seized consignment with the street value of about Rs 15,000, he said.
