Buxar, Bihar: Thirty eight people have been killed, and many others are missing after a country-boat sank in the Ganga river in Bihar's Buxar district on Sunday.
The boat carrying about 50 passengers was sailing to Dalupur from Uttar Pradesh's Ballia when it got caught in a whirlpool and capsized in the Brahmpur block.
The Bihar police confirmed 38 deaths, adding, the number of those dead is likely to rise.
Senior police officials were also camping at the spot to oversee rescue operations.
